SalesLogix System Requirements

Listed below are general system requirements for SalesLogix® Version 6*. Not all requirements may be included. For specific questions or concerns, please contact our SalesLogix Technical Support.

I. SalesLogix supports the following software packages for e-mail, word processing, and faxing:

• Microsoft Outlook XP or 2000
• MS Exchange 2000 or 5.5
• Lotus Notes R5 in "Office Mode"
• Novell GroupWise 5.5
• POP3/SMTP (POP3 Internet mail)
• IMAP/SMTP (IMAP4 Internet mail)

• Microsoft Word 2000 SR-1a or higher
• Microsoft Word XP

• WinFax 10 or 9.0.2 with local modem

II. SalesLogix supports the following relational database management systems (RDBMS):

• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or v7.0
• Oracle [Support for the Oracle database platform is not available in the initial SalesLogix v6 release (only SQL Server available). To ensure the highest quality for our Oracle customers, Oracle support will be added in an update release to v6. Oracle availability dates and details will be announced after the SalesLogix v6 release.]

The minimum and recommended hardware requirements for SalesLogix depends on the number of users, activity, load, size of database, and RDBMS.

III. SalesLogix Database Server

• Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Server, or Advanced Server
• 256 MB RAM
• 450 MHz processor
• 2 GB of disk space for small database + free space for RDBMS files

• Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server
• 512+ MB RAM
• 1+ GHz processor
• 4+ GB of free disk space for database + free space for RDBMS files

IV. Synchronization Server

• Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Server, or Advanced Server
• 128 MB RAM
• 450 MHz processor
• 2 GB of free workspace

• Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server
• 256+ MB RAM
• 800+ MHz processor
• 2+ GB of free workspace

V. SalesLogix Client or Support Client

• Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Professional, or Windows XP Professional
• 96 MB RAM
• 300 MHz processor
• 100 MB of free disk space for application files

• Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP Professional
• 192+ MB RAM
• 800+ MHz processor
• 100+ MB of free disk space for application files

VI. SalesLogix Remote Client

• Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Professional, or Windows XP Professional
• 96 MB RAM
• 300 MHz processor
• 100 MB of free disk space for application files
• 100 MB free disk space for database and sync files

• Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP Professional
• 192+ MB RAM
• 800+ MHz processor
• 100+ MB of free disk space for application files
• 250+ MB free disk space for database and sync files

VII. Remote Office Server

• Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Server, or Advanced Server
• 256 MB RAM
• 450 MHz processor
• 2 GB of disk space for small database + free space for RDBMS files

IX. Web Client

• 96 MB RAM
• 300+ MHz processor
• Microsoft IE 5.5 or higher
• 56 Kbps modem connection

• 192+ MB RAM
• 800+ MHz processor
• Microsoft IE 5.5 or higher
• DSL or Broadband connection

X. Terminal Server / Citrix Server

• Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Server, or Advanced Server
• Terminal Server or Citrix
• 256 MB RAM, plus 16 MB for each concurrent user
• 450+ MHz processor
• 300 MB of disk space for application files

• Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server
• Terminal Server or Citrix
• 512+ MB RAM, plus 32 MB for each concurrent user
• 1+ GHz processor
• 350+ MB of disk space for application files

* Note: SalesLogix Version 6 is not yet available in Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan.
